Band/artist history
I started rapping at age 14, recording my vocals to a cheap k-mart recorder, with a beat playing in the background. In 1995, I met Dr. Capone, and he let me in the South Side Asylum. Back then, my rap name was 24k. Weeks later, I released my first basement tape "Golden Flip". Months after that, I released "Ain't no fun and games". I appeared on Capone's albums, he appeared on mine. We had a crew of like 10-15 artists with us. We dropped a compilation album called 5150, with artists like myself, Dr. Capone, C4N, ADB, Mic Devils, Live 1, etc.. Soon after, I parted ways with the South Side Asylum and started working on my own label, Golden Glair Productions. I released a few albums, "Rezurrection4yourdeath", which was a battle record, dissing a few local artists. I also put out "Wizards Terrain". I gave this tape to Eminem back in the day, and he turned around and gave it to Marc Kempf, which would re-surface later on. I completed 2-3 more albums, but did not release them. In 1999, I reconnected with Dr Capone, who was then going by Storm Bird or Red Crow. I also hooked up with Marc Kempf. Marc Kempf put me in contact with O.P.M, who was to produce my first professional album "Analyze & Interpret". I spent about a year recording this album. The guest spots were Red Crow (Dr. Capone) on Unfinished Business. Underground Affiliate, Vicious Styles (lil chris), Aztek (Rising Sunz), Chamberlyn (Formerly of Rising Sunz), Mike King (B4 Entertainment, half of Abstrak Intellekt). O.P.M (Producer and member of The Disregarded). Dj Chill Will hit the tables on Unfinished Business toward the end. I produced the remix version of Hurricane Forces, but all the rest of the production was done by O.P.M. I signed a Distribution deal with Marc Kempf (Long Range Distribution). He also did the graphic design, posters, fliers, and manufacturing. www.longrangedistribution.com The rest is History after that. The album did open up as Album of the Month in Real Detroit. I took some time off, but then decided to come back full swing to work on the follow up album. Right now, I'm in the beginning stages. I have production from Hush (Geffen Records - Formerly of Da Ruckus), DJ AMF. However, most of the production will be handled by Smoke (Borothugs Entertainment, and member of Group Rehab). The album will be released around July of 2005.
