I have no choice but to call this Chris Priest, since i am the one who does every single thing you hear, kinda like how Nine Inch Nails is all Trent Rezner. I dont really know what the genre of ir is, so call it what u want. Plus, about half of my songs are acoustic and half are heavy so theres no real catagory for it. . --
Band/artist history
I'm not in a band, i make all my music myself, but whatever. I live in Middleboro Ma., I'm 17, and have been looking for a band for a while. Believe it or not, I started playing guitar, singing, and writing songs February 2004, so i figure that the songs, singing, and guitar is pretty damn good for that amount of time, and i notice a progression of my skills about every month. I like every single type of music there is, as long as it's real and emotional. Right now i'm in the process of "mass producing" my 14 song demo with an official case, lyric book, etc. I have made, pretty much, three different types of music in the last year...Emo, acoustic soft rock, and rap. If you want to hear the other stuff, go to the other site that i'm on. I know it's probably risky to call my music emo because of the stereotype that it's "cry about everything" bullshit, but I do consider it emo. Alot of my songs are actually depressing, but i find that writing and listening to this kind of stuff is the reason that i'm not depressed, it's a powerful way of ventilating emotions. Don't take the lyrics literal, some of them are pretty crazy. Every sound in the music i make is me, whether it's singing, screaming, playing guitar, drums, piano, bass, everything. They're all 100% written recorded, produced, mixed, arranged, and promoted by me. I won't bother listing influences, because there are hundreds, but i like to compare the lyrics and sound to Saves The Day, Taking Back Sunday, The Used, you know. Judge for yourself and tell me what you think.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Dont play live yet, but as soon as i form a band, (hopefully soon), ill start doin gigs.
Your musical influences
Everything you could ever imagine. Emo, Emocore, Hardcore, classical, classic rock, techno, rap, blues, jazz. Might remind you of Saves The Day, Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, or The Used .
What equipment do you use?
I dont use much at all... a guitar, keyboard, mic, not even a mixer yet
Anything else?
"Well I will never make another promise, without you, I will never make another promise" Luv you Jess
