Your musical influences
My influences? Funk, soul, jazz, breaks. I listen to a lot of producers and I listen for techniques that they use tto accentuate their sounds. I study musicc as much as I create. Hip hop to me is not confined to any one sound or style.
When I DJ, I like the funky breaks and underground hip hop stuff. When I emcee, like a hard hitting drum loop with some jazzy horns or some funky piano.
When I produce, its all about the soul to me. I try to encorporate all these styles into my production via MPC 2000xl.What equipment do you use?
MPC 2000XL, technics 1200's, a vestax 05 pro mixer, a boss mic condensor, a technics keyboard, propellerhead's Reason V2.5, SoundBlaster Audigy Platinum Plus Soundcard, AcidPro.Anything else?
