Under the baton of Mr Hoe Kong Foo, the Band grew from playing notes to playing music. We were strongly encouraged to attend concerts and study music theory. Not forgetting our teachers-in-charge, Miss Angela Chan and Miss Lee Poh Ching, who cared for our welfare, guided and believed in us. We also warmly welcome our new teacher-in-charge, Miss Shim, to join us and hope she enjoys being part of our family.
The year started off with a performance for the CCA open house, attracting Secondary 1 students to join in the Peicai Band Family. It was a joyful event as everyone enjoyed themselves, performing and recruit new members.
On April 13, our uniform finally arrived after much waiting. Collection of uniform was held on April 14 with excited members waiting to put on the new uniform, our very first uniform.
April 15, We made our first appearance as a Marching Band with our new uniform during the school's Annual Sports Day. Leading the participants, we marched past the grandstand, with cheers from the school.
April 17, the day we waited for a long time. It was our first SYF participation and we have put in our determination and unity to train hard for this event. Our hard work paid off when we have achieved a Distinction. It was a glorious moment as this was our first achievement, our first step to more achievements.
April 30, We participated in the school's Speech Day as part of the parade contingent. Our first Speech day participation as we missed it last year due to SARS outbreak.
July 4, We were invited to perform at Braddell Heights Community Centre together with our school's NPCC. It was our first public performance, another door opened to more public exposure.
August 6: The Band's 3rd National Day participation in school. It was a memorable day as it was our pioneer batch's last parade and our 1st Handing Over Ceremony. The 2nd batch of committee, aka Committee 2004/2005, was officially presented to the band and will uphold their duties till the next ceremony.
Starting from August 25, every member is required to accumulate a compulsory 2 hours of sectional practice weekly. This is to encourage members to practice and improve on their own.
