The hard crust of reality begins to soften around the edges, and time melts like a Dali pocket watch.

The madman creative output began in early childhood and has continued unabated since. In particular, the last decade has been quite an interesting one. Marking a gradual emergence and exploration into a number of creative mediums. In the early 90s, the madman first really started tinkering with recorded audio. Having only primitive tools to work with, he developed the technique of "sound wrestling"- by covering the erase head of a tape recorder, he was able to layer sound on a single strip of tape, creating sound spaces with found sound, spoken word, ambient recordings, whatever he could get into/out of the machines. At the same time he was developing an archive of drawings and writing that served as the source material as well as the catalyst in the creation of the self published zine, "Say What", which currently has 6 issues available. Into the mid 90s, WEBmadman met up with JLBlank (of Convertible Robots) ...on a bench outside a bank late at night... From that meeting a number of projects and ongoing collaborations ensued. Back then they got together with Rock n Roll Nate and did a little thing called S.O.I.L.. It was at that point that the madman realized he could do more than just speak with his voice... By the late 90s, and into the early 00s the madman had cracked into digital composition and recording, as had JLBlank, each in their own way, resulting in the This Collective release, "Machine Noise Dreaming". Since then, the madman has worked up a series of solo releases, starting with Dark Cheese, followed by Liquid Thought, and The Madman Chronicles. From all of this, the madman has been able to do a number of live performances, 2 events, TechNoBondAge (Maynooth, Ontario) and Zero (Toronto) with the Hijack collective, a group whos members include: Original Plastic, Convertible Robots and Arzoo Dance. Hes also done performances at the Killaloe Fair (Killaloe), Poetica (Toronto), and done interviews and performances on CHCR (Killaloe) and CFFF (Peterborough) The performance of "Point of Release" by This Collective at the Zero show with Hijack was aired on the CBC television show ZeD, on October of 2002. Most recently WEBmadman has been seen lurking with the noise band Full Metal Booty in Peterborough... WEBmadman also does Tarot readings and workshops and is webmaster of a few sites.
