One unique mind, one unique personality, the Bay Area artist known as MindTrapp has toured the better half of California for the past 4 years providing his entourage with free spirited, innovative, and urban scaled music and entertainment. Trapp has strove to be one of the trend setters in the slow rising bay area music market by performing at major venues including, The San Jose Compact Center, The Fillmore, The San Jose Civic Center, Mirror Time Hall, SBC Park, The Warfield and Smithwick Theatre. Trapp has also performed at many of the Bay Area's hottest night clubs including City Nights, The Chi Chi Lounge, Club Polyesthers, The Ruby Sky, Club Bas, 330 Rich, The Factory, Palermos Lounge, and The Glas Cat. Trapp has also performed in over 20 states and opened up for some of Today's and yesterday's most reputable acts such as; Jon B., Musiq Soulchild, Too Short, Swizz Beats, E-40, Big Gipp, San Quinn, Krazy Bone, Neva Legal (HoodStars), & Bullys wit Fullys Guce & Killa-Tay. Through years of heavy street promotion, word of mouth, and independent showcasing, Trapp has gained a very sought after commodity needed in this industry; advance writing skills, engineering, and production. Through his energetic stage performance, and well-rounded image, Trapp has a way of bringing his music to life right before your eyes.
At the age of 13 Trapp began writing his history. His experience as a drummer in Jazz and R&B bands has provided Trapp with the necessary professional skills needed during the production of his first project. In 1996 Trapp decided to form Nemesis, a group of 4 talented Bay Area artists. For the next two years Nemesis distributed their newest mix tapes while performing at both local and out of state venues. In 1998, and still in high school, Trapp performing under the guidance of Nemesis Muziq & Entertainment Group Inc., independently started a string of performance venues through the sponsorship of various companies like Foothill College, Hitman Records, Cutthroat Records, and Confidenchill Records. Combined shows sold 2000+ tickets (including VIP tickets) in a 1000 capacity venue and grossed over $50,000. Emails are pouring in daily in response the third annual up and coming Bombshelter Blowout scheduled for the end of this year 2004.
Trapp has a loyal, consistent, and growing fan base throughout the bay area. With the help of the new single Pump yo brakes getting Bay Area region clear channel radio time, his fan base is now increasing even more. MindTrapp paraphernalia has been made in the tens of thousands to be used for promo and merchandising. NMEG, Inc. is receiving daily emails on behalf of MindTrapp requesting his up and coming release, performances, mix tapes and unreleased material. According to his fans it is an understatement to say that Trapp's music is "history in the making," but rather its' his "sound that's making history." Currently Trapp is pushing his second album Against All Odds, releasing 1st quarter 2005.
