MPD has been around for a few years and has just recently decided to reform after about a two year split. with some time away from each other we have all decided that this band is where it's at, and we all love the music too much to just sit at home and watch tv. so here we are.. rehearsing and writing new material. we will be back out doing live shows before you know it. we look forward to getting back out.. seeing old friends and making new ones.

Mudpuddle dive
Mpd is a rock and roll band from the midwest. With influences ranging from Pantera to Pink Floyd and everything in between, it is no wonder we are so into our music. We were brought up on bands like Iron Maiden, Kiss, Quiet Riot and Alice Cooper. We cut our teeth pretty early on with a band called First Offense. We were a cover band for many years, playing the local bars and a few out of towners wed all like to forget. Like any other band, First Offense had its share of problems. We went our separate ways. I would like to say that mudpuddle dive is truly the result of musicians who have grown. Gary was in a pretty hard hitting, in-your-face, we-hate-your-mama kind of band for a while. And the rest of us (Kenny, J.K., and Andy) were serving our time in your average play-whats-popular cover band. After a few years had passed, and we all lost a very close friend, we decided to give the band another shot, and that is how mudpuddle dive came to be. With this band we are just trying to make ourselves happy. If other people like our music and can relate a little bit, then thats just a bonus. Dont get me wrong; we are extremely excited that so many people have shown interest in us, but its for us first. Our music is a way for us to vent our emotions, and it gives us a chance to hang out with our best buds.
We are extremely versatile in our writing. We do not really follow any kind of form; we just play what feels right. We feel like our songs are constantly getting better and our style is getting a little more aggressive.
While the radio and the internet are a big part of us, we are a live band. If you come to a mpd show you WILL see a show. We put everything we have into our live shows. The cd is cool and all, but the songs just have so much more live. Since we are centrally located, we feel that we can go just about anywhere and do a show and we will. We are setting our sights high with this band because we feel like the talent is there, and the will to make things happen is also there.
