Aeturnus Dominion hail from the land down under and deliver a bastard breed of metal that utilizes the best of all metal genre's and create a signature aural assault called 'Brutal Aussie Bastard Metal'.
Band/artist history
Incarnated in early 2003, Aeturnus Dominion have become a solid force within the ever growing Aussie metal scene. Self described as Brutal Aussie Bastard Metal, Aeturnus Dominion incorporate a hybrid meshing of death, thrash, black and old school metal into an aural onslaught of brutality.
Featuring Jesse [lead vocals], Ted [guitar & vocals], PJ [guitar & vocals], Spud [bass & vocals] and Ozi [drums], Aeturnus Dominion have gone through several progressive line up changes over the years to become a solid driving force, with certain members having served time in either Misery, Eternal Hate, Murderworld, Sulkus, Jumpathug, Descend or Manticore.
A partnership with Grindhead Records was struck in mid 2005 and by Feb 2006, the label had re-released the bands 2004 home recorded CD, Semper Tyranis, (which gained a top 10 placing in the 2004 Music Oz Awards) and in October 2006 followed up with the release of the Psychotic CD.
Both the first 2 releases featured primarily older material that had been amassed over the over previous years before finally being recorded. A new album called Annihilation Process is almost complete and nearing the mix down/mastering stage. The new recording sees the band evolve with a distinctive approach to song writing. Songs are faster, heavier and definitely more technical than it's predecessors, while maintaining that Brutal Aussie Bastard Metal sound the band is renown for.
Aeturnus Dominion has supported international bands, Disgorge (US), Dawn of Azazel (NZ), Profanation (Germany), Defiled (Japan) as well as travelling 'round Australia on the Road Rage Tour supporting Nervecell (UAE) in May/April 2007. Recently the band has had to reluctantly turn down several overseas performance opportunities due to lack of funding. This is something the band is working hard to overcome.
Aeturnus Dominions lyrical content covers 'real life' topics such as: suicide, global annihilation, war, death, murder, solitude, depression, child abuse, psychosis, mental illnesses and issues, among many other negative things that life seems to throw our way!
