What do you get from a marriage between Jazz and Arabic music? More freedom than you can possibly handle!
Great Jazz pianist Art Tatum said that in Jazz, There is no such thing as a wrong note. Similarly, since the basic nature of Arabic music allows it melodic freedom like no other music in the world, she enables her creator emotional expression from as deep as he can delve into his soul.
The trick is to use both great musical traditions to create a new entity, a new sound that if handled carefully- conceives a genius child born in bliss.
