"Breath in December" Truly beautiful work. Found your song through JPF, and I'm so glad I did.
As I said on JPF, the words are incredible and the song unfolds perfectly. What an inspiration - both for the thoughtful, hopeful message and the way the music carries me along. I now have a new goal to head toward... sounding a little more like Erik Tyler each time I write something new, God willing. :^)

Great piano play. The lyrics are nice, too. You realize that the introductory piano play, which you also use as a riff later on, is exactly like "True colors" (Cyndi Lauper), right?
Nice recording, professional sounding, great feel to it. I think you should reduce the breathing on the vocals, though. Slightly asthmatic.

Just wanted to tell you that your music is really good. Being a songwriter myself, I appriciate hearing other artists that carry that same love for music. You have a great feel with your lyrics that I don't hear very often. Breath in December and Love like Time are written beautifully. I was stumbling around JPF and went to the MP3 page and listended to your songs. I think Josh Groben would be perfect for Breath in December. It's funny that George Michael is one of your influences cause when I heard Dance with my Skeletons, all I could hear was George doing that. Well, just wanted to tell you that I enjoyed listening to them. Keep up the good work.

As Christmas approaches, I had to track down this song again, Erik. It's one of the best things I've heard in years. It holds me in a spell when I listen to it. I'm so grateful you still have this up and available to us. Thanks again for a gift to the world at large through your song.
