After playing numerous other instruments such as the trumpet, sax and drums, Brendan finally met the guitar at the age of 17.
It was in a school rock group class that Brendan was playing the drums and met a guy called Robert Stanley, one of if not the best guitarists in school at the time. Rob and Brendan were playing Am I Evil by Metallica and saw Rob do this amazing solo.
Brendan stopped and said to himself, "I have got to learn how to do THAT!. That looks Awesome!" That afternoon, Brendan gave up the drums to learn the guitar.
Three months later he was teaching others how to play licks and riffs. His favourite at the time was the intro to Dont Call Me Dude by Scatterbrain.
After playing and hosting at many jam nights such as Pot Belly Bar Jam Night and R&Bs blues jam at Pendos pool room thanks to his old history teacher Mark Rickwood he decided to move north to brisbane
Brendan played with Acdc tribute band Acca Dacca and toured relentlessly with the show around Australia and New Zealand. Leaving the show to pursue his own interests he joined QUILL an 80s metal tribute band playing lead.
Years on down the track after being introduced to the music of players such as, Joe Satriani, Dream Theater, Steve Vai and the like, Brendan began to develop his own style.
His influences give him a broard range of feel and style to his original works. Having a love for larger than life sounding music like classical music and modern bands like Metallica and Iron Maiden with their harmonised guitar sounds provides Brendan with the influence for his large fat sounding style.
Fifteen years on, Brendans own brand of instrumental rock guitar music is his own style. Smooth and tasteful melodies, burning guitar solos, thick emotive harmonies and raw rock feel with a full bodied fat melodic rhythm section, provides Brendan with his unique sound that he can call his own.

Brendan,
some great tunes you got there. I'm pretty sure I met you a couple of times at some of Doblo's gigs a while back(?).
Check out my Soundclick site some time, see what you think.
Josh.
