bROKEN release, an agressive Punk, Alternative, Metal, Rock band is the antithisis of soft rock. Three guys fronted by a female vocalist with their instruments, talent and the ever-present Rock Star dream. bROKEN release is; Drums that pound and pulse harder and heavier, bass that both underlies and drives the music and an intensely heavy and sharp guitar to lead the way and strong, passionate, powerful vocals to bring everything together.Band/artist history
bROKEN release formed in Feb. 2002. Originally named bROKEN, we changed our name in September 2002 after an extensive search yielded another (signed)band was using the name. When the band first formed it consisted of Steve McClanahan - Guitar, Shawn Needham - Drums, Joe Calzaretta - Bass and Sergio Torres - Guitar. Of the founding members 3 are left, Steve, Joe and Shawn. In August we added the final piece of the puzzle...Shannon Hennessy - Vocals. Things have been rolling ever since!Have you performed in front of an audience? We love playing live!! Mostly we've been playing on the south side of Chicago. We only added our singer 2 months ago and have played around 9 gigs with her since. Some of the local spots we've played are, Oasis One-Sixy, J.J. Kelley's, O'MALLEY'S, and Bohica.
