The story of a balladeer is still writing itself. As we speak. But it's quite impressive how far the band got so far. After sending out their first demo, numerous record companies and publishers showed interest. And it took only one show to get offered a contract. But a balladeer took their time (and are still taking it). To write, to perform and to get to know the record industry better.

In March 2002 a balladeer gets help from Reyn Ouwehand, a famous Dutch producer who worked with popular Dutch bands like . With Reyn a balladeer records two songs. Two female DJ's of 3FM, Holland's main radio station, pick up one of the songs, called 'Swim with Sam'. In March 2003 a balladeer signs a demo record deal with Universal Music.
At the end of the year we will have done more than 75 shows. We opened up for Keane in Amsterdam and went on tour Saybia.
