Funk in A Funk in A

Volume kicks in about 10 seconds late, but this is one of our favorite songs that never seems to get recorded properly. Recorded live at the Fineline, and unfortunately the first song of the recorded set.

Anywhere Anywhere

Upbeat Pop Rock song. I was always a big fan of the harmony guitar parts throughout this song. Another Allman influence.

Oh Babe Oh Babe

Slower B.B. King sounding blues. Actually, I think a bit of the signature lick in this tune may have been influencing Aaron when he wrote it, or so he says...

Classic Rock

STEREOSCOPE is a 4 piece, Minneapolis based rock band that was formed in March of 2003. Our music includes both originals and a wide range of covers. STEREOSCOPE has a Rock/Blues/Pop sound that is heavily influenced by the classic guitar rock of the 60's and 70's: Hendrix, SRV, Zeppelin, Allman Brothers, Floyd... Other influences include: Los Lonley Boys, Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Bob and Ziggy Marley, Tom Petty, etc... STEREOSCOPE plays at a variety of bars and clubs around the Twin Cities and it's surrounding area. We hope to see you at a show soon!!!
Band/artist history
STEREOSCOPE was formed in the fall of 2002. Aaron Ollswang and Steve Freid had been jamming together for a few months when some mutual friends (Leep 27) introduced them to Nick Wosika. They soon found a rehersal space and a deep appreciation for blues rock. Many band names where tossed around before the trio finally settled on STEREOSCOPE. They played their first show on March 3rd, 2003 at the 5 Corner's Saloon in Minneapolis,MN. Since it's inception Ollswang, Freid, and Wosika had always wanted another guitar in the band. Enter Derek Rohlf. Rohlf & Ollswang first met three years ago on the U of M campus. Rohlf was at the first few shows and was asked to jam with the band and "see what happens". Rohlf joined the band in August of 2003 and STEREOSCOPE played their first show with the new line-up on August 30th, 2003 at O'Gara's in St.Paul, MN. The band continues to cut their teeth in bars all over Minnesota and long studio sessions are yielding a ton of new material and a full length studio album is in the works. Until then their infectious live shows will have to do.
