Second to Someone hails from Columbus, Ohio. We are a punk/rock/emo band who have opened shows for national acts such as Fall Out Boy and Punchline.
Second to Someone hails from Columbus, Ohio. here we have been together since the fall of 98. Founding members include Matt Corriveau on bass guitar, Patrick Gloeckle on drums, and Dirk Bullock on the lead guitar. Though preliminary endeavors began in the fall of 98 under the name, Fullproof, much of the current sounds brought forth by the band did not come along until mid 2001 when, after years of playing as a three piece, Fullproof added two new members: Will white as lead vocalist and Dan Lovett on rhythm guitar. The addition of these members began to shape the sound of Fullproof into a mixture of punk, rock, and eclectic sounds. This set of members was short-lived, however, as in the summer of 2002 Will moved to Madison, Wisconsin. For the next few months the band still played many live shows (as was custom after the addition of Will and Dan,) but without a permanent lead singer. After some rather hard shows with a temporary vocalist, Fullproof held auditions and added Dan Freeman as frontman for the band. Recently, the band name was changed to Second to Somone due to a crappy band from Pittsburgh that was also named Fullproof, but they had more money than us. Anyway, Second to Someone has recorded in a studio setting twice and recorded ten songs which were completed in the summer of 2003. After this break from live performance to focus on studio work, Second to Someone has played out several times in local venues such as the Newport Music Hall, The Midgard, Bernies Distillery, and The High Five. We have opened shows for bands such as Punchline, Daryl, and Fall Out Boy. We are currently working on getting our name out as much as possible, and we are all ready to commit to a career in music.
