The Cursed (2003) The Cursed (2003)

Malachite has been honing their own brand of sonic assault for 4 years. A blend of shifting time signatures, blazing riffs, thundering bass, and scorching vocals, Malachite rolls all of their influences together. The result is pure metal, but you should hear for yourself...
Band/artist history
Malachite began to take shape in the summer of 2000 when Matt (guitar) and Joel (former drums)met through mutual friends. Matt and Joel began playing music and wanted to add a second guitarist, so Matt invited his long time friend Aaron to join them. They had written several songs in just a few months, many of which Matt had already begun to write prior to this lineup, but had no vocalist or bassist to complete the songs. Finally, friends of the band expressed interest in performing and Mark began singing and Nick played bass for Malachite. Less than a year after the band formed, their bassist left and Malachite was faced with another missing piece. Fortunately for the band, bassist Shon(who Matt had previously worked with) was available and immediately filled the position. Malachite's lineup changes, however, were not done. After completion of their second recording in the winter of 2003, Joel decided to pursue other musical interests (Monarch) and Mark left the band due to availability conflicts. Webber joined Malachite on drums early in 2004 and long time friend of the band Will stepped into the vocal post shortly thereafter. Malachite continues to perform live and write new material.
