Based out of Wilton CT, Black Alder is a jamband with influences ranging from jazz and classic rock to bluegrass and funkBand/artist history
Matt Campbell, Ian Harleman, Brian Skiba, and Peter Castaldi, were all born and raised in Wilton CT, where they were classmates. As the years progressed each took an interest in music and developed their individual skills for a few years. In 1999 Matt, Ian, and Brian formed a trio and began rehearsing regulary as a band. Their success was limited, and the group was headed down the wrong path untill 2003 when Peter Castaldi joined as a second guitarist. After one rehersal the group knew they could make an impact, and recorded their first demo... Black Alder is currently practicing for their upcoming summer gigs and is anxious to leave a mark in the Connecticut area.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes, we have been playing local gigs
