Theyre heavy, but dare not call it metal. Its alternative and catchy, heavy and emotional but when fused in live shows or radio rotation with todays artists they surely deliver. Based in Erie, PA they exude command and a musical maturity that only years of experience can produce.
The SEAHOLLIES posses a universal approach to originality. The songs are pop in structure, but with guitars blazing and a thick freight train of drum and bass, their movement pushes the music to the foreground. Vocal lines that are melodic and inducing are all over their musical compositions.
Clearly the SEAHOLLIES are a wonderful enigma: the hard-boiled underlay seasoned with a high-octane grind, is bellied by a uniquely-hooky modern sensibility that make for an infectious mix. Loud visceral guitars and a bludgeoning tightness, fuels a rampant and eclectic musical fervor. Like well-oiled machines they are keenly aware of the things that make great timeless music. They are able to move a room of fickle head-bangers into frenzy, make musician types stop to admire as well as appeal to a female demographic, leaving them ready to deliver in any situation.
Band/artist history
The SEAHOLLIES formed 7 years ago in the cold Erie winter by Ralph Chamberlain and Aaron Forsyth. Added was local veteran and longtime friend 'Teel' to expand on the guitar compositions and Tony Fosco on drums to complete the final piece of the creative puzzle. A new level of comradery and loyalty to the unit was also achieved. Like the well-oiled machine they spent the next year writing and performing the material that later will become the "Taurine" album.

In March 2002 they won a northwest Pennsylvania Michelob Light/Planet Radio 93.3 Battle of the bands. Beating out over 150 local bands they were chosen by multiple judges with a perfect score based on musicianship, professionalism, experience, songwriting, and live performance. Crowds were a buzz with the feeling that this is the band who really "can make the distance" to a national success.
July 2002 proved equally great for them when they won an online battle of the bands at rolling rock.com. Chosen by number of votes, acceptability and mainstream appeal by the online community of the United States as well as a few industry heavy hitters they beat out thousands of unsigned national acts. Chosen by Virgin records they secured a main stage set at the Rolling Rock Town Fair 3.3. Not only was this a great national debut but it was their CD release party for the full Length CD "Taurine".

It is great. I run www.paxposure.com an online radio station that features unsigned bands from Pennsylvania. When I heard these guys I couldn't believe it. Their Cd's haven't been out of my player for a couple of months. I'm now working on trying to get them a record deal and heard by others so spread the word and check out the websites. Take care and thanks for listening.
I'm loving the music. Real cool sound. It's hard to find good music on here. These songs. I enjoyed. Check out www.soundclick.com/1/justsixspaces
