In a scene where ‘post-hardcore' is branded for its easy access to credibility, Year:Zero have created a true punk rock sound one which ensures everything centres around a constant musical (r)evolution.Band/artist history
Formed in early 2003, Year:Zero (from London ) endlessly wrote songs and toured, quickly gaining a name on the underground circuit through their explosive and often chaotic and passion filled live shows. By the end of 2003, their goal was to turn Year:Zero into a full-time proposition.
Off the back of numerous shows on the ‘Toilet Tour' this year, ending with the bands biggest show to date at ‘The Underworld' in London (on behalf of ‘Firefly recordings' and ‘House Hold Name Records') supporting ‘Against Me', ‘Ensign' and ‘Steel Rules Die', Year:Zero went straight into the studio to record their new EP.
Year:Zero recorded three tracks for the new ‘Liberta EP' with ‘Chris Hamilton' (Earthtone 9, Days of Grace, One Minute Silence, The Blueprint). ‘Liberta' was released on June 10 th on ‘Live Without Dead Time Records', a label set up by the band.Have you performed in front of an audience? We are continuously on tour round the UK
