Progressive Rock

hi. This is my band page. The band consists of me. It's not always easy playing with yourself, but sometimes it has to be done.
Band/artist history
My first band had my brother on drums and some kid that lived down the street on guitar and bass. I think he stole instruments from his older siblings and left them at my parent's house. I was unhappy playing clarinet in this band, so I started taking organ lessons with my 5th grade teacher. I thought the footpedals were too noisy when I rested my feet on them, and so did my teacher. She suggested piano instead. My next band experience came around 10th grade. By then, mom had wisened up. No more band practice in the house, so I was forced to get an electric piano and take my noise elsewhere. I also messed around a bit on guitar. I never leared how to play chords very well on guitar. In college, I began collecting old keyboards and now I have quite a lot of them. Some even work.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, I do play live whenever I can. I enjoy playing live, but then again, the alternative would mean playing dead.
Your musical influences
I can't say I have any musical influences now. I used to worship my favorite rock bands as a kid, and then I studied some classical composers in college and realized they were also drug addicts, mentally ill, dying from communicable diseases and misunderstood by their own generation. Nothing really changes. Now I'm influenced by architecture and geometry.
What equipment do you use?
I use piano, a real one made out of wood that I pay someone a lot of money to keep in tune. I also have a fake plastic one, which is more convenient for gigs. I hate the sound of it, but at 110 decibals its crappiness is on par with the other instruments blowing speaker cones and causing earbleeds. Yes, I HATE trying to play piano live with a rock band. I also play mellotron for those intonation challenged flute moments (every band should have one), a bit of hammond organ (you can give up your gym membership), and some analog synths which have no presets. That is how I manage to sound like no one else, and quite honestly half the time I don't sound like me either because I forget which knobs do what. And lastly, If I want to piss off the guitar player in the band, I play my hohner pianet through some distortion and can out Van Halen him every time.
Anything else?
Not really.
