I have been playing music since I was about 16 or 17. Damn, that's over 20 years ago! I started out playing guitar but in 1999 played bass in a country band and have relatively recently (since the winter of 2001) acknowledged my calling as a Bass Player. It has been an incredibly educational and humbling experience. But I do love it and am happy with it.

Your musical influences
My first two albums that I bought were Kiss - Love Gun and the first Foreigner album. From there I listened to everything from Van Halen, AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Metallica to Mozart and Beethoven. As I got older I started to develop an interest in the Blues. I found myself traveling backwards in the rock timeline. My most significant influences to date would be Albert King, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Eddie Van Halen (yes, I WILL put him in this group) and Robben Ford.
As a bass player I have found myself exploring funk and most recently jazz. When I burn a CD it could have anything from RHCP, the Meters and Cool & the Gang to Miles Davis, Charles Mingus and Bill Evans.What equipment do you use?
