This is a collection of songs I've written, produced and played on over the course of the past several years. It's not actually one band but many. As for the name "Mattonium" it's just a name, not an ego trip. But I still rock pretty hard.Band/artist history
I've been in a bunch of bands including Plutonium Hat, Wax Miranda, Sourball, Areaman, and the Hindu Stuntmen. I also cannot forget my cover band from College . . . the Wet Dogs. Truly a rock star experience.
Musicans & producers I've worked with include: Ric Ocasek (Weezer, Cars), Mike Clink (Guns N Roses), Vixtrola (Interscope/Geffen), Jamie Blake (A&M), Matt Walker (Smashing Pumpkins), Chris Sheppard (Smashing Pumpkins/Wilco), Doug McBride (producer), Adam Topol (Jack Johnson/The Martinis).Your musical influences
I have a lot of musical influences as a guitarist and as a songwriter. Some of these influences include John Lennon, Pete Townshend, The Beatles, The Who, Bob Mould, The Posies, Joe Jackson, Weezer, Smashing Pumpkins, Walt Mink, Fountains of Wayne, Tom Petty, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn and many others. What equipment do you use?
I keep it pretty basic, a guitar and an amp. I don't like to talk about gear too much because those who talk too much about gear are those who don't spend enough time writing good music and playing it well. A good musician will sound like themselves on anything, but a Paul Reed Smith, Strat or Rickenbacker through a Vox amp is a nice sound.Contact
