Saaya (experimental) Saaya (experimental)
Saaya is basically the embodiment of our natural state of loneliness or solitude in this world and the next...
We are trying to express, through our music, the true essence of mankind..its tendency to alienate and isolate one and all without cause or concern..Band/artist history
Walleed and Afraz (the bassist and the lead guitarist respectivly) had been in Roots School and had planned to make a band provided they found some other talented guys. These two had been jammin' and composin' stuff for quite sometime.
Qasim (rythm player) had recently come to Rwp at that time and after leaving his band in karachi he wanted to get in touch with some other musicians. He got admission in Roots for his A levels.
Ammar (The vocalist) had just done his O levels. Havin a remarkable voice, Ammar too planned to make a band. Ammar also joined roots for his A levels.
As a result all these guys were in Roots after summer vacations.
Therefore they formed a band and began jammin' frequently.
Shoaib(Drummer) left his band in Lahore and shifted to Rawalpindi with his family. Walleed got in touch with Shoaib and after their first jam with Shady, they got him in the band.
Before their first major gig. Saaya was in dire need of a 2nd Rythm player. Thats where Zia (an old buddy) of Ammar came in. Zia was an experienced rythm guitarist who had performed in the UK.Have you performed in front of an audience?Saaya always plays live.
