Created by Erik Andrew in the summer of '04. Originally known as P.L.S. many years ago.Have you performed in front of an audience? Not at the moment. There are some thoughts floating around about a series of shows at the end of the summer and into the fall months. If you cross your fingers very tightly, maybe....just maybe... the elusive Erik Andrew will take to a stage near you. As far as playing live... I have always thought of it as "performing". I love to perform the songs, be it for a room of people, or just one person. At the risk of sounding cheesie, my favourite moments have been simply playing the songs for my family and friends as they were written. I have always valued their opinons greatly, as the name validates, and enjoy hearing their thoughts on my ideas.
Your musical influences
The main influence of Deluge At Dawn is The Cure. Secondarily, The Smiths, Morrissey's solo work, Pink Floyd, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Sundays, The Wallflowers, The Sisters Of Mercy, Love And Rockets, Kill Hannah, AFI, Guns 'N Roses, Gene Loves Jezebel and even Chris Isaak help shape our sound. We tend to be into more atmospheric, dark pop-rock in general, but don't shy away from heavy guitars in what we listen to or play.Anything else?
I just want to thank everyone for checking out the new "Deluge At Dawn" page. Make sure to check back for new tunes as they are posted. Finally, a few thank you's in particular go out to... Mom, Dad, Jason, Outis, Chris-special thanks, Holli Lynet', M. and Prof. Williams.
