Band/artist history
We are a 5-piece hard rock band with elements of melodic rock, heaviness, aggression, solemn moods and driving rhythms. We're inspired by many different things which in the end come together through the form of solid rock songs. The band is scattered throughout the Charlotte, NC area and is looking to get its start playing local shows all over. What started as many musical ideas in the minds of guitarists Zach Simpson and Josh Thompson, eventually (a very long eventually) turned into the band today. After a few years of writing songs together, and virtually no luck in forming a band or finding the right musicians, the two found drummer Devin Knupp around summer of 2002, who was also wanting to do something serious musically, and just as eager. The three practiced and wrote for months, checking out different singers to find something they felt would fit the music. Not too long after, bassist Rob Hammond responded to an online ad at bandtastic.com, and moved up from Florida just in time to try out and join the band. For months the band remained singerless until one day, jamming with a guy named Daniel who the band had tried out years before when it was still in its early stages, the band quickly saw the potential and brought him in to complete the lineup.
From circumstances beyond anyone's control, the band parted ways with drummer Devin in January of 2005. The remaining members, disheartened and wondering what to do, took a month off to figure things out, and eventually put an ad online to find a drummer. Surely not on accident, the first to respond was Sean Hartis, who had recently left his band Aither. Through a series of auditions with other drummers, the band unanimously agreed Sean was the drummer for them and asked him to join, to complete what is now Fallout.
