I Wish I Didn't Have To Say Goodbye I Wish I Didn't Have To Say Goodbye
A song about someone who will be sadly missed

This is a collaboration between two people on opposite sides of the earth.
Nigel Quin - everything musical.
Richard "Breakfree" Anderson - the word-dude (and resident Queen fan)
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Nigel does with his covers bands and things, plus other solo projects. Richard plays like crap so
air guitars are his limit (although on the sly he has actually been recording home demos and even
did some backing vocals on an ASA (mp3.com) track)
Anything else?
While you might like the music, please take the time to listen to the words.

"(I Wish I Didnt Have To) Say Goodbye" was a song with which i wrote the lyric late one night when i felt really lonely and at odds with myself and my life. This has to be one of the most personal lyrics ive ever written, and its an honour that Nigel wrote and recorded this song, there is another version available via the following link for anyone thats interested:

im pleased to report that the ASA demo version reached #4 on the Auckland, New Zealand Rock & Pop charts on mp3.com.
thanks Nigel and i do hope we can write more material soon.
Although this lyric was written with a certain idol of mine in mind, the listener can feel free to interpret it to their own situation, id love to recieve any feedback from anyone that listens to this track, either version, i love them both.
cheers

I think Nigel captured my lyric really well and gave it the musical balls that i had hoped for. Towards the end there this vocal piece (where it kind of echoes or something) that reminds me of Roger Taylor (the drummer from Queen/Solo Artist/The Cross).
Lyrically this was me in a John Lennon-ish mood, basically im saying that we as humans can be incredibly rediculous (myself included) and that sometimes we need to step back and look at ourselves.
im so glad Nigel has finally exposed this demo to the world, thanks mate !
cheers
