Band/artist history
DU DU AH was started in NYC: Dejan Kostic, at the time attending songwritting course at "Parsons School of Design" & Wayne Adams presented first DUAH's nucleus. Upon returning to Belgrade, Dejan disbanded his still popular "New Wave" outfit; called the "Grupa I"/"I Group". The band with 2 singles, 1 E.P & 2 Abums, all on PGP-RTS ( Serbia's biggest label.) New line up was assembled;. Vuk/-Sax & Keys stepped in to replace Adams, and later Zoran Zagorcic/synths, vocals . That phase was "crowned" by "Me Tarzan You Jane" limited edition EP/ PGP RTS. Innovative "Tarzan" was by YU standards! succesful. It was the first Rap/Toast track to be released in Eastern Europe. Enters "Primitive Dance" full length album. DU DU AH were moving into more song oriented direction. Meanwhile playing gigs throughout Eastern Europe, and club dates in Cairo, Egypt. Recording hit single "Romance" for Croatian "Jugoton" label brought DU DU AH even larger audience; playing larger halls while promoted through many appearances on National and local TV /radio stations throughout ex-Yugoslavia. During the Balkan Wars Band was strongly engaged in pro-peace benefit appearances; getting banned from most radio and TV stations. In late 90's recording album "Ritual" for "GTR" indie record label. - Btw, I get help for live performances from the best Serbian musicians, to name just a few: Igor Gostuski-Synths & Samplers/Back Vocals, Vuk Vujacic-Tenor & Soprano Sax, Sasa Jacimovic Jacim-Sax (Played Belgrade with "The Temptetions") Buki-Sax (also played with "The Temptetions") Vlada Funtek-Drums, Pappa Nick-Percussions, Misha-Percussions...
