The Prophets are a Vancouver Island based group consisting of Clay Haines AKA Cplus(vocals) and Ray Muloin AKA Prolific(beats).
I (Prolific) started making beats on a high school computer for skateboard videos, and one day I came across a extremely talented lyricist who went by the name of Cplus.
We recorded two songs on a MAC and all of our friends loved them. Good word spread which gave us the drive to make a full album which is nearing completion. We hope to have good feedback and maybe make a couple bucks to put towards a studio produced album in the future. All we ask is for people to listen to our music with an open ear.Have you performed in front of an audience?We have never played a live show but we hope to in the near future.
Your musical influences
Our musical influences are Gangstarr, A Tribe Called Quest, NAS, KRS 1, and at the moment Classified is one of our favorites.What equipment do you use?
We used an EMac school computer with the program Garage Band. The cuts, scratches and slices were done on turntables by Prolific.Contact
