Goodnight Goodnight

This is a rough demo version of this song, and it has an extra chorus in it from how I play it now. It is a fun song to play, but don't take the lyrics literally.

Jack's Bitter Self Loathing Jack's Bitter Self Loathing

This song is a metaphor for being depressed because you have lost all hope in all aspects of your life and you feel completely alone in the world.

Band/artist history
In 1997 Gabe formed his first band, Bysk, as the bassist and co-songwriter, with drummer Adam Searl, singer James Bradford and guitarist Dave Ballinger. By 2001, after Bysk failed to make it out of the basement, Gabe moved on and formed the band Prophet with Adam and James, and Matt Wilkinson on guitar, but this band too did not go anywhere. Gabe then switched to guitar and to main songwriter, and the band developed into the two-piece band Unwanted Fate, with Adam still playing drums and writing songs. Adam and Gabe added Matt on bass, and the band practiced regularly, but broke up in 2003 before any gigs could be played. During the time of Unwanted Fate Gabe discovered Bob Dylan and Nick Drake, and after the band broke up he struck out on his own, with only his acoustic guitar to accompany his singing. He has since then played at parties and open mic nights, and he is constantly writing new songs.
