We are a 5 piece indie/rock band from Newcastle Upon TyneBand/artist history
After too many manufactured acts thrown upon us from the Music Industry, Clearway are on a mission to wake up the music scene. After starting in 2002 the band have gone from strength to strength, city to city and country to country. In the 3 years of Clearways existence the band has been extremely busy recording their debut single (which has been sold to over 600 people) building a fan base and spreading the word through numerous live performances
It didnt take long for the bands reputation to quickly but sharply leapfrog them over the then more established local acts, through there high powered drive on stage and moving rock numbers.
Over the last year and a half Clearway are close to completing 200 live performances around Newcastle and the surrounding area. They have played Summer Festival Richmond Live supporting The Cosmic Rough Riders and The Revs and also have performed gigs in Glasgow (13th Note Cafe), Manchester (Dry Bar, Late Room, Cuba Cafe), Liverpool (Barfly) and London (Club Infinity, Purple Turtle Bar, Millenium Club) over the past few months.
Radio play has also been a major boost for Clearway getting the band across to audiences locally (Metro Radio & Radio Newcastle), and Worldwide Audiences on SDR Radio & Mohawk Radio in LA and the fantastic Green Dragon Radio show delivered over the internet to many real music fans.

Your musical influences
Everthing from early 40's and 50's rock to present day stuff by The Cooper Temple Clause, The Bees, Kasabian etc. A major influence though has been The Stone Roses.
