The Romantic Satire
Moody, down-tempo electronic rock music from Chicago, light on beats but heavy on melody and emotion, like a dance party in your bedroom.

The Romantic Satire is the solo project of 23 year-old Brian Sutherland of Chicago. What began as a side project for Sutherland while playing in an emo-pop band during college became a full on indictment of the conventions of the genres of emo and pop in 2001.
At first a lo-fi combination of guitar and simple programmed beats, The Romantic Satire has since evolved into a much more complex breeding of electronic beats and multi-instrumentation. Its progeny are moody, instrumental numbers with no describale structure, no apparent beginning and no apparent end but one immistakable core: the desire to capture human emotion, even if it is truly ineffable.
