Enter Cleetus Kasiody. This San Jose emcee is a chameleon on the mic. He fits in anywhere. He spits with the real-life perspective of a West Coast vet. He brings a lyricism that's reminiscent of an East Coast rhymer. He starts the party off right like a Down South emcee. His style? Well, that's hard to pinpoint. It's like his musical influences -- vast. This is where he stands today: A hungry emcee making noise on the local level, looking for the break that will allow the world to learn what he has to offer. He's performed in and around his residence of San Jose, Calif., both at clubs and at talent showcases. He's steadily writing and recording a catalog of songs that showcase his various talents.

Anything else?
"I think emcees are scared of or too proud to admit who their influences are," Cleetus says. "That causes them to seem cocky or unaffected by others in their surroundings. I feel like my wide range of influences show that I'm not close-minded. My approach to music honestly is, I am different. I am unique. And I have my own path to pave. It doesn't matter who I listen to or what their style is or what they did. I'm me and I definitely know who Cleetus Kasiody is."
