The Soul'd out Band is the culmination of a number of people's many years in the local and national music scene., All the members of band have cut their teeth in many different and varied musical styles and genres. From national touring acts to local ethnic wedding bands. Together since 2002 this group of talented people have been assembled meticulously by band director and music arranger, Kim Camara who has been playing professionally since 1964. From corporate parties & weddings to top 40 dance clubs, no venue is too big or small for Soul'd Out.Band/artist history
In putting this band together, Kim Camara gathered a bunch of seasoned professionals who were each between bands and pretty much disenchanted with the direction in which they were going. After just 3 months of intensive 2-3 night a week practices, the band began to get bookings and the successes just continue. Over the years he has cultivated a large "stable" of pro's from bass players, guitarists and singers. People like Dave Telles who toured internationally with Jasmine Guy and was stage guitarist for the Arsenio Hall show to Russ Peterson who has sung extensively across the US from Mrytle Beach to Las Vegas. Recently we were honored to add Bobby Lloyd from Brockton who was the guitarist from the popular South Shore band "Party of 9". Every show is different as a snowflake !!!
One thing that the band doesn't lack is showmanship. Every night is a different show. They think nothing of throwing on a costume for a specialty number and amazing the audience. Check out a show and you just might see the likes of Morris Day and the Time from the movie Purple Rain, or The "Godfather of Soul" .. James Brown.. with cape and all !!! They are constantly thinking up new ideas to entertain the crowd. Its this attitude that keeps audiences talking about a "Soul'd Out" show days after.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes. Just about every weekend in Southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod area. Special moment : Immediately after each gig, the band and technical crew meet backstage for a moment of thanks for a great show.
