We Started waaaayyy back in 1999. November I believe, but only as a cover band just because a friend needed another band to play and Dave and Brads band, Ogel, wasn't available. We played a bunch of covers we learned in a week consisting of Blink 182, Tuesday, Jawbreaker and more only to suck it up on a trailer in the freezing cold. Soon after that, with the lack of activity in Ogel, we decided to start Contents Under Pressure.
Writing songs only about what we know, such as ketchup, Bowling, and bitches, we base our music on fun rock and roll musical ideas and have fun doing it. naked.Have you performed in front of an audience?Damn yes we play live. We'll play whereever. We havent had too many shows but most of them have been at local places around the south subs of chicago.
Your musical influences
I dont know really? We don't have any particular influences, our music is all over the place really. Brads favs include Dream Theatre, Rush, and Megadeth. Mine are Fordirelifesake, Small Brown Bike, Alkaline Trio. And Dave says his are DMX, Coldplay, and Weird Al. Which of course is not true, but you get the idea.What equipment do you use?
We all have different equipment, but usually we use the mesa boogie dual rectifier through a mesa cab and a PRS. A Fender precision bass and a Ampeg SVT-3 pro amp, and usually we borrow drums, or use mine (yamaha) or brads(pearl). whatever.
