Smile (live) Smile (live)

(previously unreleased) This live version of "Smile" from Keef's solo-release "Anhedonia", isn't a good representation of how the band sounds now, but is a warm bit of nostalgia.

Rock General

(previously Stumpmonkey) Paige are Glasgow's very own rock super-group, combining the talents of June, Dust Puppet, Aris and FromDayOne into a singular rock being.
Band/artist history
Paige originated as the one-man band of Keith Thorburn (under the name of Stumpmonkey), who's first set of songs were brought together in his debut release "Reaching", which was sold locally to some degree of success. This led to his recruitment into metal group Dust Puppet, whose music has recieved airplay on BBC Scotland radio. However, Keith was coming up with ideas that wouldn't fit into the usual DP set, and so the second Stumpmonkey album "Anhedonia" was created. After "Anhedonia", Keith wished to take his music to the stage, and the live band came in the form of Alex McNutt & Andy Monaghan (from June) and Chris Grant (from Aris). Over the course of the past year, the band has overtaken the success of its predecessors, playing to sell-out crowds in some of Glasgows high-profile venues. Their new material, fueled by the electric crowd response they have been recieving, has much more vivacious tendencies and the varied influences of each individual member has brought a new depth and definition to the old Stumpmonkey sound. In March 2004, the band officially changed their name to Paige to finally confirm the evolution of the band from it's bedroom origins to it's full-time rock group status. 2004 sees the band releasing their 2nd EP and so much more...
