OtherSide-Version4 OtherSide-Version4
Rough worktape recording done by WhiskeyJack for authors consideration.

OtherSide-Version3 OtherSide-Version3
Pro-demo: Lyric, harmonic (chord progression) and rhythm changes. However, the melody is basically unchanged. Performed by Laura Clapp and Two Days Old (www.lauraclapp.com).

OtherSide-Version2 OtherSide-Version2
Version 2. Includes lyric & chord progression changes, gender 'neutralized' and bridge fully composed. (the bridge & basic melody seem to be the only parts that do not change in following 'tweaks'.)

OtherSide-Version1 OtherSide-Version1
Initial rough to share melody between authors. David Van Camp guitar & vocals. Bridge not yet composed.
I am a song, currently under construction by: Marge McKinnis,
David Van Camp and
David Robinson.
My name is "On the Other Side".
I was born via an internet collaboration. Currently there have been three recorded versions of me and a fourth is expected:
1) First basic melody, verses & chorus only.
2) Second refined lyrics, melody, chord progression and added the bridge
3) Pro Guitar/Vocal Demo (Laura Clapp and Two Years Old, www.lauraclapp.com
4) .. planned .. full production demo
Each change had very signifcant modifications to my lyrics, chord progressions and, sometimes, rhythm, but my melody hasn't changed much.
Thank you for visiting me!
On the Other Side
Band/artist history
(that's MY history, actually...)
July 17, 2003, marge gave birth to a bouncing "Old Babe" lyric.
Some changes later, (including my name, which became "On the Other Side"), dvc offers to compose.
After 1st mp3 is posted, whiskeyjack offers lyric and chord progression changes and is invited to be third author.
Many changes with long pauses in between ...
mid-March 2004, Laura Clapp and Two Years Old demo posted
and the story continues ...

Have you performed in front of an audience?
Well, I hope to be played live, but, as a song, I can't really do it myself...
Your musical influences
I would love to be sung by Martina McBride or Faith Hill or any woman country singer that wants to add a powerful ballad of love lost and future hope their portfolio. Just as long as I become a #1 hit.... :D I wish!!
What equipment do you use?
Words, melody, harmony and rhythm
Anything else?
Hmm, hopefully I'm an intelligent lyric! I would like to be remembered for making someone feel better in a bad time.
Oh, wait, that's not 'equipment' :) ... opps!
never mind
