Smiley, and his wife Alfreda "Melody Al" lived in Champlain and their band was active from the 1950s through the 1970s, recording three albums in Montreal, hosting TV and radio shows in Plattsburgh and Sherbrooke, and playing dozens upon dozens of local concerts and parties!
