Oh man my story is a lot longer then the characters will allow. But I moved around a lot. Mama gets remarried, or new job, whatever the case may be, the only things that were consistent day in day out we're my Grandparents, and Hip-Hop! I fucked with mad Mixtapes, radio stations, TV shows, albums, records... That's what got me through everything can think of in life, Positive or negative... I knew at a very young age, the first time I heard "Me Against the World" by Tupac, that I wanted to do that too... I wanted to be able to change somebody's whole vibe with my pen and pad. If something has them tripping or upset you don't even have to know what's wrong you just gotta know that it's something!! It's our job to help to get them through that! For three to seven minutes, or however long the record is, your listener doesn't have to go through or think about whatever it is that's got em' feeling some type of way... they get to escape... my fuckin pen is that escape!! I get to ease the pain even if it's just temporarily. I know it's gotten me through the business end of some sticky situations you better know that shit! So being able to transfer those dividends is an honor no doubt. An honor that I most definitely take seriously!!Have you performed in front of an audience?Ya of course! There's pretty much no out of bounds or off limits type of situation... At all. Try he wild thing when it comes to live performances is it seems that smaller than you and crowd for that matter the craziest shit gets. I was in Louisville Kentucky, and this was at least 10 years ago, and this umm, older woman was in the front row just vibin! I mean she was dancing her ass off! So I played to it a little bit and got off the stage and was dancing with her. Harmless right?? Fuck...no.
She waited 3 hrs until I had no choice but to leave the back and ran up to me and tried jumping in my arms... I did what any honest, hardworking american man would do... I faked an injury! Which of course backfired because her motherly or in this case grandmotherly instincts kicked in!! Needless to say I spent the rest of the night laying in a bar stool getting ice and heat on a back that wasn't even hurt! But she was persistent.
