Benjie is my real name / nickname. A graduating college student, taking B.S.Physical Therapy. I rap, sing, make beats, and write my own songs. Also plays cajon and kalimba to some extent.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Started making music back in late 2009, no matter how ridiculous it was in their view. Then continued making tracks and releasing them in my Facebook account, my audience being my college blockmates, family, relatives, few friends, and highschool batchmates.
I formed Flixxbeatz Productions back in 2011, uploading sampled rap beat instrumentals from game bgms and eventually moved to making Tagalog Songs and making it a by-request. Never knew it would eventually gather popularity as time passed by.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Few small events and parties, just to showcase my stuff. It was scary at first, but eventually I adopted the basics of performing and now it's as if it's natural to me. Will perform if there is an opportunity and/or given invitation.
Your musical influences
Underground Rap Artists and the mainstream rappers that influenced me to take the path of rap.
What equipment do you use?
Rode NT1-A Compressor Microphone hooked to an M-Audio Fast Track which eventually connects it to either of my two laptops for recording. Audio Technica ATH-M30X for mixing and mastering. FL Studio for making rap beats.
Anything else?
I already knew Soundclick back in '08 but I never harnessed its potential. Little did I knew that in the future, I'll end up coming back here for it to serve as a backbone of my YouTube-heavy music stuffs. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Looking forward!
