The Melody The Melody

A rather jazzy dance track about being a slave to creativity. This one was really pushing the limits of my vocal skills at the time.

A pop techno flavoured downtempo song about being motivated and inspired by someone.

House Loop 1 House Loop 1

An mellow instrumental track with trance and techno influences.

Downtempo

Just me, my voice and my machines... I'm still looking for the pieces that will supposedly form something that truly feels like my own. I may never find them all, but that's just the way it is, I guess. Either way, I hope to create some nice tracks along the way.
Band/artist history
I've played around with organs, computers and other stuff in more or less musical ways for as long as I can remember. However, I didn't get serious about pop/mainstream music until some time around 1985, which is also when I started singing - as a complete beginner... (I hope there are no recordings from back then! ;-) Two years later, in 1997, I "released" my first demo, containing the tracks The Melody, You Gave Me and House Loop 1.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
No, and I'm not sure it's my thing. I'm kind of a studio guy, though there is a conflict between that and my interest in singing... "Studio lead vocalist" is a pretty weird concept, isn't it? ;-)
Your musical influences
The main influences from 1995 and on were Pandora and 2Unlimited. Over the years, my interest in this kind of music has faded a bit, and I've been listening to video game music and various other stuff instead. Recently [2004], I discovered some forms of metal and industrial music that really made an impression. Remains to see how all this blends when I get around to do some new tracks.
What equipment do you use?
For the old tracks: Roland JV-1080, Kawai K4r, Roland PC-200, Behringer MDX 1000 compressor, ART FXR, Samson Qmic, a quick hack mic amplifier, and various "consumer" sound cards. Later on I added an Echo Layla 20 bit audio interface, and I'm currently working on getting my own softsynth/audio engine Audiality ready for serious use.
