Many of us don't fully understand the riches that we possess musically through the blessings of the Heavenly Father. Matthew 5:48 reads "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect". Though I myself am still marching on my journey to take on the continuous growth in living according to the truth and knowledge of the Creator and His beloved begotten son the Savior Christ as it is written, I understand that the gift of perfection is not so much of an impossibility as the world would have us to believe. Perfection is more so an example of what He expects from us in our walk in life. He gave us a standard to live up to, while still knowing that we all fall short of His glory. Yet and still we can only begin to live up to this standard through having obedience to Him. In order to obey Him we must have fear of Him, understanding that this "fear" is not like the fear of a man or anything that you could be fearful of in this world. If fact He even let's us know that we shouldn't be fearful of anyone else or anything, as such a fear does not come from Him. This certain "fear" that we should have for Him is totally different. This is a fear that you would have for One that knows all things and has all power to do as he will, yet He loves you and wants you to be blessed. With this fear, wisdom and knowledge begins for you. Trial and error is always present for us all, but it can also be what makes a person stronger on their path to perfection in this walk. I believe that in this continuous walk of ours, we can become as great as it has always been meant for us to be. What more is there for each of us, other than what He has for us ultimately? Anything less is only a ripoff or a fluke.
Meanwhile we are not all meant to be the same, look the same, sound the same, but we should fear God the same and honor His begotten son the same though. As far as my music goes, I don't aim to be the greatest in the earth. It's not celebrity stardom that I want. I simply just want to be what The Most High wants me to be as one blessed with a gift to create music. Music has such a heavy influence in the streets. Unfortunately it is being used in such an evil way, promoting death and destruction. Ironically, my squad is called Holy Influence Beat Gang/Holy Influence Music. Our name explains our mission. One of our main slogans is "I'm Serving God (The Most High Power) On Your Street...Boy!",as we are blessed with such a power gift, it is our duty to do so, just as anyone blessed with any gift from God should do. Our gifts are to Kingdom Build, not be "Hot In The Industry" or gain the world's riches/ dedicate to wickedness. With that being said, I hope that my music is good in the opinions of the people that may view or listen to it but I more so hope that it is can be a blessing to somebody.
I cannot help anyone that does not believe in my Lord and Savior Yashaya, which the masses mistakenly refers to as Jesus Christ. The same thing applies if you don't believe in the scriptures as they are written. I grew up in Memphis,TN in the South Memphis area. Doing music has always been a big desire of mines. The very thought of me doing music was equal to a child liking professional sports or being interested in big shot wrestlers or something. Music was in my heart heavy. I wouldn't stop until I was able to do it. Typically, I started off doing what I thought was cool musically. I glorified sin because it was all that I knew. I'm thankful that I was not able to take off into a major career back then. Only the Lord knows how much it would have ate me up in that world of madness.
I would go on to do this carnal music until my spiritual mindset and heart grew towards Christ. Of coarse this was not over night, but over a course of years. Eventually the Father blessed me to reach a level where I no longer straddled the fence between the world's message and the Kingdom of Christ's message all together. I officially chose Christ and my lyrical gift began to flourish more and more into what He would have it to be. It even continues to advance today, and will continue, if He wills it.
Throughout my progress, I have even lost so called friends over my music, particularly my beats. This generally happened because they might not have understood that there was no room for me to do music for The Most High & Christ and do music glorifying the things of the evil one too. My mind was made up. Even though the scripture states in 1 Timothy 5:18: "For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward", it was tough for me to settle to even take a payment for one of my tracks, if that artist wasn't promoting scripture or The Kingdom of Christ.
Many people automatically take me saying "NO" very personal and decide that I'm not even worth speaking to anymore. I guess there is just no way around it because I have a deep understanding of just how powerful music is, therefore I can't be moved, especially if the artist is rapping about dope and whoredom. The Bible even gave us understanding of just how powerful music is through David's musical ability. Moreover today, music is turning our youth upside down and and causing many abominable downfalls in the community.
My music is in no competition with my fellow brethren working to set people free from the bands of wickedness. It's to serve The Most High & His Begotten Son and bring His elect back to Him, His Chosen first and the gentiles as well. I enjoy collaborating and putting projects together with my fellow Christ lovers out there.
