Westbound is a rap recording artist born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, he was influenced heavily by the late 80's early 90's Los Angeles rap scene. Artist such as Tupac, Dj Quick, Da Brat, Scarface, and more was among those who he took to. Westbound started out with freestyle rap among family and friends and grew to parties and social events, he started to write his own rap and form them into songs around the age of 12. By 19 years old he manage to get a recording contract with a indie Los Angeles based lable know as Bully Mic Records. From their he learned more about the business aspect of music and grew as an artist, he performed around a small westcoast circuit opening for artist such as The Alcoholics, Dub C, Xzibit, Nas and more. Growing up in the Los Angeles area with Hollywood being down the street, Westbound has gotten to personally meet and greet well known artist in the business today such as, Ice Cube, Dj Quick, Jamie Fox, Dub C, Xzibit, Lil Zane, Tone Loc, Mack 10, Nipsey, Eastwood, The Realest, KRS-One, 50 cent, Young Buck, Spider Loc, Tank, and more.
