Chuck Mason is a solo artist that spends most of his time playing with himself. And sometimes he writes music too. Ya, he's OK, whatever. I don't know, I listened to it - and I think it's kinda crappy, but I'm supposed to write some complimentary things about him because I'm getting paid to. His voice is uhh... well.. hmmm...let's see....if I had to compare it to something, I'd say... well it sounds it's best when you turn the volume way down, and maybe even put the headphones on the desk, and walk away just a little bit. And maybe plug one ear. Then, it sounds pretty much like a mixture of David Crosby and Mojo Nixon. His guitar playing is...well....uh...pretty close to being in tune? Ya, that sounds good. Chuck Mason has been writing and recording music since his middle teens. Many times his father would come home drunk and savagely beat him and his brothers and sisters. At the age of six he left home to work and find a life of his own. After a brief stint in the Peace Corps in Nicaragua, he came back to the states to train as a professional wrestler. Things didn't work out as planned, not because of his rifle thin stature though, but because of a ferocious pit bull attack that occured while attending a dog fight in Mexico City. That incident rendered him unable to walk for nearly a year. Even though the experience had left him physically and emotionally handicapped, he decided that working with animals was his calling in life. So he went to work on a local ranch in the states artificially inseminating horses. Everything seemed to have fallen into place until one hot July afternoon when one of the animals viciously attacked Chuck - kicking him repeatedly in the head and face - leaving him unconcious and in a coma for nearly three years. It is through this music that the pain of those experiences bleeds, releasing the pressure of a past that cannot be forgotten....Your musical influences
