With deep lessons of love and trauma interwoven into the fabric of her songs, Amaris did not acquire the name "The Lyricist" for no reason. Her poetic melodies sway between cocky and robust to passionate and painful. With a heart for her people and wisdom beyond her years, she delivers a tune one may describe as the marriage of her two biggest inspirations; Lauryn Hill and Tupac. Amaris began singing in church choir with her first solo performance of "Amazing Grace" at the early age of 5. She sang in church choir until the 4th grade when she was able to join elementary school choir. Amaris remained in church and school choir until college graduation where she pursued her Bachelors in Music. Currently, she is working on her first solo project, a mixtape titled "Princess Charming."Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes. Amaris has performed solo and in group ensembles many times.
