Vernian Process

Vernian Process is a Neo-Classical/Darkwave/Industrial project. The sound is very Film Score / Dark Ambient.. but with some more dance friendly songs thrown in the mix. Everything is drenched in strings, and symphonic/orchestral effects. Some of the songs will incorporate a very "Industrial Revolution" sound as well.. with samples of steam engines, gigantic gears, pistons, etc.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Formed in Winter of 2003.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Not yet, but if it ever happened, there would be a very big stageshow to go with it.
Your musical influences
far too many to mention..but on this particular project: Classical/Ethereal influences: In the Nursery, The Protagonist, Dead Can Dance, And Also the Trees, Nobuo Uematsu, Joe Hisaishi, Vangelis, Ennio Morricone, Danny Elfman,Maurice Ravel, Edvard Grieg, Gustav Mahler, and many other classical/neo-classical artists. Modern Electronic influences: Click-Click, Borghesia, Forma Tadre, Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, A Split Second, Gary Numan, Fad Gadget, Japan, Human League, OMD, Visage, Tuxedomoon, etc.
What equipment do you use?
All computer generated.. I don't have much money, so I make do with what I can get my hands on. I do use an Oxygen 8 as a midi controller though.
