The creative direction of The Hero Factor is shared by the unexpected line up of e.train, Matt Fisher and Ben Kilgore. Ben joined forces with the Factor late last year. Taking the Factor's stellar music and mixing it with Ben's soulful vocals seemed almost too good to be true. The Hero Factor is now even more of a force to be reckoned with.
Your musical influences
e.train's melodic vocals and lyrics paired up with Ben's funked-up attitude and heartfelt vocals are reminiscent of Counting Crows, Radiohead, and Pete Yorn. Guitar duties rest upon West Virginian native, Matt Fisher. Labeled a "Tone Snob," Matt accesses 70's vintage tones and boutique amplifiers. Matt squashes his quiet off-stage demeanor to deliver solos in same vein as Jimmy Page, Angus Young and Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes. To round out the band and to add that vintage tone the Factor needed, the guys drafted Norman natives Chad Copelin (vintage keys) and Nathan Price (drums).
