The solid sound of Vocalist John Ridge has always been associated with harder edged Rock. Born in the Netherlands John's search for musical identity started with successes with the known "Hollestelle" clan and with Bands such as "Cold Turkey" and "Machine". Unhappy with the limited possibilities his small homeland had to offer he found himself more at home on foreign soil. And so John lived and worked as a musician, writer and Producer in Belgium, Great Britain, Sweden and Germany where he collaborated with many nationally acclaimed artists. In 1982 John Ridge was the sensational vocalist of the Swedish "E.F.Band" with whom he landed a number one album (Deep Cut) and single on UK import and Scandinavian charts. Performing in Stadiums and working with Richie Blackmore's Rainbow, Saxon and other greats of that time did not pay for the endless hours spend on Ferries, in Trucks and hotel rooms, and when the band's record company Phonogram had them waiting in the lobby during a homecoming after a long and stressful tour because the executives were having a brunch with Steve Miller, John decided that this lack of respect gave him a reason to get off the road.
Time of abcense from performing was spend by running a Rock Club, Organising concerts, being a Radio Host, running a Record label and Recording Studios untill early nineties John decided he wanted to create music again, but this time in the land where Rock n Roll was born, The USA. Strongly influenced by the purity of southern rocksounds, the land of the free is where John now seem to have finally found his musical identity and with the Album "SNAKE" he delivers a product which he claims to be proud of. Still the solid melodic, sometimes rough, sometimes sensitive powerful voice, but this time "Really Ridge".Have you performed in front of an audience?Used to tour intensively. Performed in Stadiums in Europe and I loved it. Just the gig, not off stage, in cheap Motel rooms, in small cars and in cold backstage "dressing" rooms.
Without a decent financial support I dont see it happening soon.

Your musical influences
John Lennon and Paul McCartney were the biggest influence ever. I would have been a different person without these two guys. And then, well, the REAL King of Rock n Roll of course "Little Richard".What equipment do you use?
The cheapest often is the best, funny enough....
My favorite guitar is an old Charvel I picked up for $300 and I sing through an old Shure Mic that has been with me since 1982.
