Will It Be Ok? Will It Be Ok?

This is a song I wrote shortly after a very close friend of mine passed away. He had gone missing and a number of his friends were frantically searching for him. Unfortunately, he didn't want to be found.

As the title indicates, I was going for a sound of Iron Maiden meets Evanescence

Have you performed in front of an audience?
In a previous musical incarnation, I played live and with a band even! I've played extensively in the PA region (from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia) in the late 80s and early 90s. Throughout the mid-90s, I was playing the L.A. scene. I've been blessed to have played with many a fine musician in my career.
Your musical influences
My first musical influence was Paul McCartney and the Beatles. At 2 years old, I was running around the house singing along with the Wings hit, "Hand on the Rug". Huh? It wasn't "Hand on the rug", you say? "Band on the run"? Seriously? In the early 80s, I heard Def Leppard's "Photograph" and it literally changed what I listened to from there on. Motley Crue's "Shout at the Devil" LP also had a profound effect. I quickly went through the metal ranks from classic metal (Judas Priest and Deep Purple to Kiss) and progressed to the thrash metal bands such as Anthrax, Megadeth and of course, Metallica. Queensryche also took hold of my interest. The 90s acts bored me. There was some really good stuff written during that era but I could've cared less. The late 90s "nu-metal" bands have re-piqued my interest in that they've encouraged me to start recording again. Hopefully, all these influences as well as others which I've had the pleasure of experiencing (Cirque du Soleil soundtracks) will help me cultivate a sound that will fit my personality.
What equipment do you use?
My setup is pretty simple. I use Sonar 5 Producer Edition for recording. I use Acid for the drum loops and techno sounds. I've got a Mackie mixer with FireWire interface. I use an ESP/LTD H-1000 guitar, an 80s Ibanez offset V, a BC Rich Virgin bass, a 5 string Spector and a Fender P-Plus (took YEARS to find one of these!)
Anything else?
Anything. Oh wait. You didn't literally mean that Anything goes HERE? Sorry.
