Born on December 30, 1980 in Philadelphia, Pa Bill McConney recently resides outside of Chicago among the things he loves: family, friends, his guitar, and his ongoing creative outlet through music. Growing up he surrounded himself with music. From trying to get a laugh out of his family with his impersonating antics of musicians to imdulging himself with his older brother Don's music collection. Through his brother's musical interests, Bill's early influences were Eric Clapton, Huey Lewis and the News, Dire Straits, The Police, and Stevie Ray Vaughn.
At 16 he bought his first guitar and began noodling around at the same time listening to the likes of the Beatles, Bob Marley, Cat Stevens, and Sting. It didn't take long after that for him to start writing his own material and start searching for his own voice. After spending time at Kutztown University and being inspired from family, friends, and everyday college life he had enough fully written songs to record his first demo cd. Since then Bill has been playing at cafes and bars and has continued writting about whatever moves him. In 2003 he was asked to be interviewed at Susquehanna University's radio show, the VENT.
Now in 2004 Bill keeps busy with absorbing new musical influences along the way and continues writting songs from everything he experiences from life. No matter where his music takes him, you can be sure that he will enjoy the ride.Your musical influences
