- Urban Smarts.com

- HipHopRaps.comBand/artist history
Bad Fathers, currently located in Iowa City, have established an extreme reputation based as much on their offstage performance as for their stunning live sets. Known for their rambunctious partying and frequent nakedness, they have still managed to self produce 6 releases since formation in 1997. Bad Fathers have performed all over the country with acts such as Ja Rule, DJ #0 of Slipknot, Rakim, Atmosphere, Pharcyde, Naughty By Nature, and Sage Francis. Bad Fathers recordings have featured DJ #0 from Slipknot, 2002 Scribble Jam Champion DJ Skwint, DJ Vadim, and numerous others. 2003’s Swallow for Iowa vinyl generated a solid college radio buzz, charting as high as #1 on several national charts.

www.rosemaryrecords.comHave you performed in front of an audience?Yeah we play extremely live. We have drums, bass, guitar, and three vocalists. We have at times had keys, and various DJ's; we've done shows with Sid from Slipknot and 2002 Scribble Jam Champ DJ Skwint.
There have been a grip of special moments. One of my favourites went down like this.
One of my first shows (before we had learned songs that I'm on) I was doing spoken word and watching merch. I asked Sole if he would make sure nobody ganked our ish while I went and performed a piece, I did the piece, then the band broke into "Yeah, I know an Asshole." The song ended with Auto screaming from the rafters and Greg pounding out some crazy double bass pedal sh#t. I came back to the table when the song was done and dude says," You guys are f'ing crazy." He's right.
Your musical influences
I've noticed that DJ's have been playing "Delusional As Usual" next to Outkast's "Hey Ya". We definitely dig Kast.
We listen to Portishead, The Pet Shop Boys, Radiohead, The Beach Boys, Ludacris, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Azure Ray, The Police, Eric Satie, Atmosphere. We are music lovers. What equipment do you use?
Our main producer/guitar player, Jethro, is also a house DJ. We are using mostly Acid and Cubase. A Focusrite preamp, a Triton, my Mom's old guitar, and a bunch of foam on the walls which is good for about two walldivers a week. We also use much vodka and beer.Anything else?
